Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favorite combinations. Halloween could be months away, but I crave the sweet-and-salty flavor of peanut butter cups all year long. And when I stumbled upon the Ultimate Chocolate Peanut Butter Sundae by Melissa of Bless this Mess, I was salivating on the spot.

And how about that luscious close-up? Assembled with a handcrafted tower of gooey brownies, cool vanilla ice cream, and a cascade of peanut butter hot fudge—I don’t know about you, but I’m already feeling a sugar rush! And to form the foundation of her decadent creation, Melissa’s recipe was an adaptation of our very own Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies. In her words, “Sometimes the stars align and things just work like magic,” and when we got a glimpse of this blogger’s sweet success, we were inclined to agree.

Want to whip up a batch of your own? The America’s Test Kitchen Family Baking Book has the recipe for Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies plus 700 more (there’s a reason Melissa called it “one of the best cookbooks ever”)!
