Welcome to Learn to Cook Week! We’re dedicated to making everyone a better cook, especially in our newly launched America’s Test Kitchen online Cooking School. Click here for the full lineup of giveaways and events.
While we’re used to taping TV shows here at America’s Test Kitchen, live broadcasts are a new thing for us. And yesterday, we had our second-ever live broadcast with Bridget Lancaster and Dan Souza to celebrate Learn To Cook Week. Bridget and Dan showed a quick knife skills demonstration, chatted about life at the Test Kitchen, and took questions from our Facebook and Twitter fans.
If you missed the live broadcast, you can watch it again from the embed above, or visit our UStream page. It was so much fun, we’re looking forward to doing it again. Check out some of the snapshots below and be sure to let me know in the comments what topics you’d like us to cover in the future. See you at the next broadcast!
Ready... Set... Live!

It was very cool to feel like a movie director for 3 milliseconds.
Laptop Power

We were frantically live broadcasting, tweeting, Facebook-ing, Tumblr-ing and G+-ing all at once.
The Team

Nick Dakoulas was our video expert, making sure the broadcast ran smoothly. Amy Scheuerman and I (on laptops) were reading questions to Dan and Bridget from Facebook and Twitter. Elissa Bernstein (social media intern), Nick Iverson (Cook's Country), Christine Liu and Roger Metcalf (web editorial) were our in-studio audience.
Knife Skills Demonstration

You would never know it, but Bridget injured her elbow earlier this week so she couldn't do the demonstration. No worries though, because Dan was terrific at it!
