Reading some of our friends’ posts this week has made it perfectly clear that we aren’t the only ones getting busy in the kitchen as we get closer and closer to the holidays. Not sure if this happens to anyone else, but it’s around this time of the season that I start losing my baking motivation, leaving my kitchen caked in flour and me ready to pull my hair out. So it’s always nice to take a break and check in to see what everyone else is working on to help recharge my batteries. This week we were treated to:

A tale of a lesson learned about double checking one’s flour measurement from handmade&homemade’s as she was baking up some tasty Snickerdoodles.

The story of a serendipitous moment in the kitchen of our friends at Pixelated Crumb, leading to a batch of Chocolate-Chunk Oatmeal Cookies with Pecans and Dried Cherries as featured in the new Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook — a copy of which they are generously giving away to one of their lucky readers.

And for anyone else who may be suffering from a little bit of cookie burnout, Fred from Grown Away took on our Brigadeiros with some pretty amazing success.
So tell me — what is your favorite source of inspiration when you start to feel a case of the kitchen burnout blues coming on?
