As I admitted last week, I can’t wait to get started on my holiday baking each year. But what happens after I get started is that I tend to get too busy with my standard, tried-and-true recipes — and lose my chance to introduce something new to my repertoire. So I was really happy to read that Christina from Sweet Pea’s Kitchen had started her own search of a new holiday cookie to make and turned to Cook’s Illustrated for the answer — Tallahassee Lassies, the 2005 Cook’s Illustrated Holiday Cookie Contest winner. Butterscotch, chocolate, and pecans? Done, done, and done. My holiday treat recipients will never know what hit them!
Do you like to stick to a set holiday baking list — or do you try to change it up each year?
