I want to thank everyone who participated in this week’s cupcake challenge as well as those who shared their stories in past weeks. I began my internship here at America’s Test Kitchen in June, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Having conceived of and managed the “Dish It Your Way” Blogger Challenge, I have enjoyed reading each and every submission. It has been a pleasure connecting with all of the great bloggers out there. Keep celebrating food and doing what you do!
This week’s winning post really reflected why I started this challenge. Fried chicken, potato salad, salmon, burgers, macaroni and cheese, and cupcakes mean different things to different people. But, we all cook because we love to eat, and we love the ability that food has to bring people together, inspire memories, and tell a story. Here at America’s Test Kitchen, we iron out the details and make the mistakes for you so that food can be fully enjoyed. The winner’s cupcake reflected a very special moment in her life, regardless of the recipe.
And the winner is…
Annie Webster’s Wedding Cupcakes!

Congratulations, Annie! We hope your 1-year subscription to CooksCountry.com will encourage you to continue making, blogging about, and most importantly, eating American regional food with your loved ones.
Here’s what the judges had to say about Annie’s post:
“What a great story. The author is terrifically honest in her writing, and so hilariously quirky — I mean, cupcake attendants? Five stars.”
“This post just made me feel good. Even though she didn’t have the true homemade wedding she wanted, she got to have a hand in the best part: dessert.”
“The creativity with the flavors was great and I really loved the way she owned her whole process.”
Check out Annie’s post on Wedding Cupcakes and be sure to visit Recipe Hoarder in the future. Also make sure to take a look at all of our submissions in this week’s recap post.
Happy Cooking!
