“Dish It Your Way” Blogger Challenge Week 7 Winner

Challenging bloggers to showcase their own versions of classic American dishes.

Pickle

This week’s challenge was the hardest we’ve ever had to judge. In fact, our top four choices were all within one point of each other in the final tally! Each burger, no matter what it was composed of, left us salivating. But in the end, it was a great story with one special ingredient that won our hearts.

And the winner is…

Elisabeth Wagner’s Burgers Stuffed with Homemade Pickles and Cheese

Congratulations, Elisabeth! We hope your 1-year subscription to CooksCountry.com will encourage you to continue making, blogging about, and most importantly, eating American regional food. Your five-year-old will certainly be happy!

Here’s what the judges had to say about Elisabeth’s post:

“Maybe it’s because I’m a pickle fiend myself, but I adore the kid’s early obsession with fermented vegetables, and a homemade pickle-stuffed inside-out burger with restraint is simply a beautiful thing.”

“I liked her description of her garden. It sounds like it’s the source of a lot of joy for her and her daughter.”

“Pickle INSIDE the burger? That is just too cool. And genius.”

Please join us next week when we take on Macaroni and Cheese! For more details about the “Dish It Your Way Challenge,” click here.

Check out Elisabeth’s post on Burgers Stuffed with Homemade Pickles and Cheese, and be sure to visit The Magic Apron in the future. Also make sure to see all the submissions in our recap post.

Have a great weekend!
