When it comes to metal morning appliances, how hot is too hot?

    Assistant tastings and testings editor Tai Sierra holds a temperature probe against the side of a toaster in order to compare how hot each of several different brands of toasters get over the course of performing their bread-browning duties, while two loaves of the sliced stuff stand ready to be used in Tai’s testing and a tray of toast towers sits in the background. Breakfast, anyone?
