I was taught by a Mexican and Peruvian family (2 different families) that the easiest and lowest fat way to make Guacamole is simple: Avocado, Tomato, Cilantro, Onion/Shallot, Jalapeno/Serrano, Garlic, Salt, and Lime. Nothing else. I just don’t understand why so many people think they have to add some cream element to it. Was it that the 1950s and 1960s Americans mentality’s need to bastardize the Guacamole?
