Can I use any jar or plastic containers? How long will it last?
Hi Dale, I use any glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. I supposed plastic containers will work, but I’d be wary of the daikon and vinegar smell permeating the container!
These are good for about a month, though keep in mind that the pickled daikon will start to taste sharper the longer you let it sit.
What does the garlic do for it? Does it need the garlic?
