Name: OXO Grill Pan Brush
Price: $9.95, available at Crate & Barrel
It looks like: An electric razor sporting an array of tough, short bristles.
What we were looking for: We wanted a scrub brush that would tackle the dirtiest of pot-washing jobs while still incorporating a comfortable handle into its design.
How we tested it: We scraped away at stuck-on scrambled eggs from cast-iron skillets, glazed salmon residue from the ridges of grill pans, and a burned-on mixture of tomato paste, mustard, and molasses from casserole dishes.
How it actually works: We were left with clean cookware when we used this to tackle our messes. With its well-spaced bunches of short nylon bristles, this tool scoured effectively and rinsed clean without becoming stained or holding odors.
My favorite part: The OXO’s grippy, round handle was very comfortable.
Overall: We almost don’t mind doing the dishes with this brush, which reliably scrubs off all that crud.
