An Electric Kettle That’s Smart

Boiling water gets downright steamy.

smartkettle

An electric kettle is something I enjoy using—it’s so much faster than boiling water on the stove. And this one is extra special.

Gadget Name: Chef’sChoice SmartKettle

Price: $99

It looks like: A stainless steel kettle that’s cordless.

How it’s supposed to work: You set the exact temperature you want the water—like 165 degrees, which we learned is ideal for green tea, or between 195 and 205 degrees for perfect coffee.

My favorite part: It beeps when it’s ready. Without this you have to boil the water, let it cool, and check with an instant-read thermometer to get it right—or you can just let the smart kettle technology do it for you.

Best for: Tea and coffee aficionados that aim for a precise water temperature for optimal brewing.

Overall: Thumbs up.

How do you like to heat up water for your tea or coffee?
