SECRET LIFE #1
Can’t find a measuring cup? If you’ve got a clean, dry yogurt cup lying around (this may take some digging in the recycling bin), you’re in luck. Use a 4-ounce size for a 1/2-cup measure, a 6-ounce size for a 3/4-cup measure, and a 8-ounce size for a 1-cup measure.
SECRET LIFE #2
Cooking goes much faster when the ingredients are prepped, measured, and ready to go. The downside to assembling the prepared ingredients, called mise en place, is that it means you need small ramekins or bowls. Yogurt cups, however, make great (and cheap) substitutions.
SECRET LIFE #3
You may already store sprinkles in yogurt cups, but you can take the tip one step further by punching holes in the lids and inverting the container to sprinkle decorations onto frosted baked goods.
