CONTAINER #1 A Bowl with Plastic Wrap Dividers

Recipes often call for adding different vegetables and other ingredients at different points during the cooking time. But placing each prepared ingredient in its own bowl or gathering them into piles can needlessly dirty dishes and clutter a cutting board. Instead, layer the ingredients in a single large bowl and separate the layers with sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap, making sure the ingredients are in the right order, with the one you’ll need first on top.
CONTAINER #2 Yogurt Cups

If you’re looking for a reusable alternative to ramekins, try clean, dry, single-serving yogurt cups. Bonus: You’ll have yet another excuse to eat more yogurt. (What? It’s tasty.)
CONTAINER #3 Coffee Filters

Use flat-bottomed paper coffee filters in place of bowls or ramekins, which are tedious to wash in large numbers. When you’re done, just toss the dirty filters in the compost or trash.

How about throwing those coffee filters into the compost. If we’re going to go wasting paper, we might as well try to give back to the environment somehow…
you’re right, sommers.kate! amended to reflect the compost option.
I prefer the cute little bowls like they use in the test kitchen. Makes me feel like a real pro, and I don’t accidentally knock them over as I’ve done with lighter containers, like the yoghurt cups. I’ve picked up some inexpensive pinch pots at Ace Hardware and Bed, Bath, and beyond. I use custard cups or small bowl for larger amounts.
