Congratulations to the “Cooking with the Cast” winner of the Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza challenge: Judy H.

She wins an entire Season 10 4-DVD set of America’s Test Kitchen TV autographed by host Christopher Kimball.

Along with her photo submission, Judy H. writes: “This was the perfect recipe for us on this cold, wet fall day. I absolutely loved making it, especially since I was able to use the last of my fresh basil (the first frost should be any day now), and the oregano that has just finished drying. The crust came out perfect — I am super happy especially since I have never made puff pastry. Following the recipe plus watching the video made it not only fun, but easy to follow and understand. The only deviation that I made was to add a layer of spinach between the cheese and sauce — it is a great way to disguise a few healthy veggies.”

Bridget says:

There were some great entries this time around, but the prize goes to Judy.

Judy, great job of looking at the impending first frost in a positive way. Pizza is a great way to use up the last of the basil. Plus, hiding vegetables under the sauce is genius! Maybe I can sneak some Brussels sprouts under there and my kids won’t be the wiser. (Somehow, I doubt it.)

Keep on cooking! Bridget
